Blog post today by Lynne
October 15, 2019 - This morning was glorious; the sun was shining
with tons of flowers blooming on the compound and along the road side.
Today we traveled up the hill to Glenn Olsen Hospital, unpacking and
stocking hospital supplies. The hospital was fairly quiet, so Bill
Zuber and I checked in with Sister Meseret for ultrasounds and were
delighted to see a few expectant moms. Our first study was pretty
straightforward and off she went. I was “learning the ropes” again on
the ultrasound machine and it was my turn to scan. On went the gel
and...wait what’s this? What am I seeing? Twins! Yup there they were
having a party in there, both very active and not wanting to sit still
one second to be measured! Mom had 3 children at home, so I'm not sure
she was excited as we were about this double blessing. Sharing in our
delight was Sister Meseret. It turns out she and I both have a set of
twin daughters. This is an unexpected bond we nowshare. Children are one of God’s many gifts to us and this day was a reminder of God’s love for us.
